TORNADOES MARCH TO VICTORY OVER UNIVERSITY CHRISTIAN

Good Evening Tornado Nation and Fans, this is Mr. Friday Night David Rodgers Voice and Play by Play Announcer for your Bradford Tornadoes bringing you this Edition of the WEAG Eagle Country 106.3 Blog for Tornado Football 2018.

The Tornadoes were looking for their 2nd straight road win and they had the daunting task of facing the 3rd rank class 2A University Christian Christians.  After all said and done, the Tornadoes came away with a 34-20 road win bringing their record to 3-3 and right in the middle of the playoff race.

University Christian had given up a total of 50 points in four games prior to allowing the Tornadoes to score 34 points and gain 400 yards of total offense. The Tornado defense forced 3 turnovers with CB Donte Balfour recovering a fumble and intercepting a pass and Nedro Davis intercepting another pass, his second in a row interception in 2 games.

Co-Beef O’Brady Player of the Game, sophomore RB Erric Smith scored on runs of 74 yards and 60 yards. Smith led all Bradford rushers with 19 carries, 220 yards, for an average of 12 yards per carry. He is the first Bradford running back to gain over 200 yards since Andre Carter had 205 in a 68-26 win over Interlachen on October 28, 2016.

The offense, especially the offensive line, played better this game. The defense stopped University Christian on many of their drives and played a complete ballgame for the 2nd straight week.

Now the Tornadoes will have to take on an undefeated West Nassau Warriors this Friday night.. If you cannot make it live to the game we have you covered as your radio crew will be heading down 301 to the big town of Callahan to call and catch all the Live Action and Play By Play, with The Color Commentary with Mr. Friday Night Voice of the Bradford Tornadoes David Rodgers and Big Kevin Howe along with the State’s Best Producing Team Chuck Kramer, Lyn Veliz, and Mary Kramer with the Pregame Show at 6:45 and Kickoff at 7:00 on WEAG Eagle Country 106.3
